Hospitality & Catering - L20 Hotel School at Hugh Baird College
Being part of our award-winning L20 Hotel School will link you with up industry leaders on a regular basis. You will also get to grips with the commercial aspects of the hospitality industry by running the College’s L20 Restaurant and working on a number of high profile events.
A trio of prestigious awards
The L20 Hotel School and L20 Restaurant are recipients of a host of prestigious awards including a coveted ‘Highly Commended’ from the AA College Rosettes scheme, a Gold Accreditation and Centre of Excellence Award from People 1st.
Students work alongside wine professionals
Students had the experience of a lifetime recently when they worked alongside professional wine sommeliers at the recent Bordeaux Wine Festival in Liverpool. Working under the guidance of Bordeaux Wines UK wine sommeliers, the students from the College’s Hospitality & Catering department served wine to festival attendees in the Wine School marquee.
Gary Usher at L20 Hotel School
Gary Usher, chef and owner of Sticky Walnut, Wreckfish, Hispi, Burnt Truffle and Pinion restaurants, was guest chef for the evening at our L20 Hotel School and Restaurant. He worked alongside our students to produce a stunning four course menu for guests.
