Health Training Hub

The Health Training Hub is based on our Healthcare Campus and is where our health, social care, nursing and mental health courses are delivered.

The Marina Dalglish Centre

The Marina Dalglish Centre opened in December 2022 and houses two life sciences laboratories and a digital studio.

The centre was opened by Marina Dalglish, founder of The Marina Dalglish Appeal, a Merseyside-based cancer charity that the Dalglish family set up in 2005 to say thank you for the support Marina received during her treatment for breast cancer. The appeal has raised over £13million to improve the lives of those living with cancer.

Life Rooms

Life Rooms, operated by Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust, offer a range of life opportunities for students, carers and the community; challenging stigma and promoting positive mental health and wellbeing.

Thornton College has safe and secure extensive grounds surrounding the building which include; an allotment area, sports facilities and relaxation area.

We have a small apartment which helps our students learn the skills to live as independently as possible.

Our social area is at the heart of Thornton College. It includes a spacious canteen and a performance space.
