By train
The Merseyrail Bootle Oriel Road station is only a two minute walk from the Balliol Road Campus. This station is on the Northern Line and offers easy access to the Balliol Road Campus from Liverpool, Crosby, Formby, Southport and other areas. By car
Satellite navigation systems (Satnav) – please enter postcode L20 7EW. The closest motorway junctions are the M58 1a/ M57 Junction 7 – 3.7 miles (6km). Then follow the A59 towards Liverpool for approximately ten minutes, turning right onto the A5058 at the first roundabout, which leads onto Balliol Road. Please note: there is no car park available for visitors, unless pre-booked with the College beforehand.

There are two Merseyrail stations within a 30 minute walk of Sefton Sixth Form College. Seaforth and Litherland Station and Aintree Station. By car
Sefton Sixth Form College is situated just off the A5036 next to Bootle Golf Course and is close to both the M57 and M58. There is parking available on campus.

Parking

Car parking spaces at our Balliol Road Campus and Healthcare Campus are limited, particularly during office hours. There is free car parking spaces available for visitors to South Sefton Campus and Thornton College.

Pay and display public car parking is available at the following locations:

  • Bootle New Strand, New Strand Bootle, L20 4UX
  • Strand Shopping Car Park, Vermont Way, Bootle, L20 4XZ

Parking at the Balliol Road Campus events (e.g; Open Evenings, Interview Evenings) is available on the 'rough ground' car park on Pembroke Road. Please follow the event parking signs from Balliol Road.

Booking is not required for event parking.

If you require parking at a conference hosted at the Balliol Road Campus, you should advise the conference organisers of your parking requirements in advance.

Approved contractors can park free of charge, providing you have booked in advance with the Facilities Manager or Maintenance Manager. Please give at least 24 hours to book a space.

Location
Spaces are available within the centre area of the Balliol building, Balliol Road, L20 7EW. The entrance is via Exeter Road, off Stanley Road. Please report to the reception upon arrival.

All those parking at the Balliol Road Campus are required to read and adhere to the car parking procedures. Please be aware any unauthorised parking may result in charge from an external ticketing company.

When can I park?
Pre-booked contractors can park during the following times:

  • Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 18:00

If alternative hours are required, they must be approved by the Facilities Manager or Maintenance Manager.

Overnight parking is not permitted.

Parking space is restricted and cannot be guaranteed.
