More than 70% of unemployed participants in the Prince's Trust Team Programme go on to jobs, training or education within three months of completing.

Through building your confidence and motivation, you are encouraged to think about your futures; this includes preparing a post-programme development plan.

You will join a team of up to 15 participants. A team typically comprises around 12 unemployed people and one or two employed people sponsored by their employers.

During the 12-week programme, you will:

  • Spend a week away at a residential activity centre
  • Undertake a project based in their local community
  • Complete a work placement
  • Participate in a team challenge involving caring for others
  • Stage a team presentation, during which they recount their experiences

A massive boost in skills and confidence. A recent survey showed:

  • 90% felt they could work more effectively with others in a team
  • 84% reported they would be more willing to take responsibility for projects in the future
  • Aged 16 - 25.
  • Especially if you are part of The Trust’s other target groups, which are: people leaving care, young offenders, educational underachievers and the long-term unemployed.

The College will always treat each applicant as an individual. Should you not have or not expect to obtain the grades stated above, or not have relevant industry-related experience, the College would still welcome your application for this course as this will enable us to identify whether this course is, in fact, the right course for you or whether another course may be more appropriate.

Equivalent international qualifications would be considered towards general entry criteria.

All course offers will be subject to a satisfactory interview. Completion of additional activities, such as attending Experience Days or gaining a reference, may also be required prior to a place on a course being confirmed.

12 weeks.
