About Hugh Baird College

Hugh Baird College is a large dynamic College situated in the south of the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton and is at the heart of a very busy commercial and regeneration area. We have over 570 staff working for the College which caters for more than 5,000 students studying on 300 courses from basic skills to full honours degrees.

The College has an annual turnover of over £20 million and our strong financial health has allowed us to continue to invest in the College’s estates and in the quality and development of our provision. In 2018, we were inspected by Ofsted achieving a grading of “Good” placing us amongst the best College’s in the North West. The findings of the inspectors demonstrate the passion and commitment within our college to drive educational standards and opportunities for learners across the Liverpool City Region. It also provides a strong indication of our College ethos, which is based on an inclusive and respectful culture.
