Hugh Baird College launches new Learner Support Hub

Hugh Baird College has this week launched a new space to support learners with learning difficulties, disabilities and or medical conditions.

The facility, named the ‘Learner Support Hub’, has been created following a multi-thousand-pound investment. It is a spacious, peaceful and comfortable environment dedicated to the sole use of students who receive Learner Support at the College.

Learners who access the Learner Support Hub can access specialist tuition, one-to-one support and assistive technology and software to support them with their studies.

Jenny Quinn, Head of Learner Support at Hugh Baird College, said:

At Hugh Baird College, we have a commitment to an inclusive approach to learning. The success of each and every student is at the forefront of everything we do and this new Learner Support Hub will further help us achieve this.

Ben Fidler, Media Studies and Production student at Hugh Baird College, said:

It’s great to have this new facility. To have a modern and central place to go will benefit everyone. I’m particularly excited to be able to chill out on the beanbags in-between lessons!
