Course Details

This course is for learners who want to develop their skills and creativity in fashion design and construction.

This course will allow you to learn, develop and practice the creative skills required for career progression in the fashion sector. As well as garment construction you will gain experience in using textiles to embellish and produce a fashion accessory.

You will also learn how to work from a client brief and produce relevant fashion visuals to support your ideas. Fashion promotion is also covered, teaching you how to use the web to promote your work.

The programme also includes studying Maths and English towards GCSE grade 9-4 (old grading system: A*-C) if you do not already have these grades.

Level 2 Diploma in Fashion
1 year

This course prepares learners for employment, or learners may choose to develop their knowledge and skills further by completing a specialist qualification at Level 3 in one or more of the following areas:

  • T-level Creative and Design Craft and Design: Occupational Specialism: Textile and Fashion Maker
  • UAL Applied General Extended Diploma in Art and Design - Level 3

Depending on your age, as a mature student it will be possible to apply for the Fashion and Textiles - Foundation Degree (FdA) or Visual Merchandising & Promotional Design - Foundation Degree (FdA) with Optional Integrated Foundation Entry.
