I first decided to study the Art and Design - BTEC Extended Diploma - Level 3 at Hugh Baird College as soon as I left School, I loved how different it was from High School and the independence you were given.

I loved studying at the College so much, I decided to enrol on the Foundation Degree in Fashion and Textiles course at the Hugh Baird University Centre. I love experimenting with different styles and materials, I have always loved fashion and when I saw the workshops and studios at the Hugh Baird University Centre, I knew this was the University for me.

A lot of people think you have to move away from home to get the real ‘university experience’, but you don’t. I’m close to home, have friends here, smaller class sizes and dedicated tutors – what more do you need? My aim is to one day become a recognised Fashion Designer, Hugh Baird College and the University Centre has given me the courage to believe that it could actually be possible.
