I decided to come back to Hugh Baird College to study the Certificate for the Children and Young People's Workforce - Level 2 course because of the reputation of the course and how much I enjoyed my time here when I was studying last. My aim is to get myself back into employment, with a lot of encouragement and support from my tutor, I have decided I am going to pursue a career in teaching.

I have been accepted onto the Access to HE course in Education Professionals at the Hugh Baird University Centre and would like to specialise in special needs teaching.

Returning to College has changed me enormously, I have more confidence in myself and my own academic capabilities. I never thought I was intelligent enough to achieve anything academically, but my tutor has really helped me believe that if I put in the work, I have the ability to achieve whatever I put my mind to.
