What you need to bring with you on the day:

  • Any GCSE results or certificates of qualifications that you have already (especially maths and English). We must see your qualifications before we enrol you. If you can’t find copies of your certificates/qualifications, we may be able to print them off for you from a national database.
  • A form of personal identification that shows your date of birth; e.g. passport, birth certificate or driving license.
  • Proof of benefit or unemployment (if applicable and for those aged 19+ only).

EU Citizens: Proof of EU Settlement Status and valid share code required.

Non-EU Citizens: Please bring your residence permit/ARC card.

Important — places are not guaranteed

Places are limited and cannot be guaranteed. If a place is not immediately available, you may be added to a waiting list. If one is available and you meet the entry requirements, you can enrol on the day.

Is your course on a waiting list?

Some courses are currently full for September 2026. If yours is, you may be added to a waiting list — but this does not guarantee a place. Check which courses are on a waiting list.

Do you have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)?

Please liaise with your SEN Caseworker within your Local Authority to request your plan to be emailed to EHCP@hughbaird.ac.uk as a matter of urgency.
