Hugh Baird College Stands United Against Racism and Violence

We are deeply appalled and saddened by the recent acts of racism and violence that have taken place across our region and the wider UK.

Our stance is unwavering: Hugh Baird College firmly condemns racism and violence in all forms.

While our immediate community has not experienced violence, as seen elsewhere, we are actively engaged with the local authorities to monitor the situation closely.

However, we understand that these events have impacted our community, both directly and indirectly. We are dedicated to ensuring that all learners, staff, and visitors feel safe and welcome at Hugh Baird College.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Police officers, Firefighters, NHS, faith communities, and civic leaders who protect our region through these troubling times.
