Hugh Baird College selected as a WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence


Hugh Baird College has been selected to join the prestigious WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence, in recognition of its commitment to promoting a culture of ambition, high standards and excellence for learners across the Liverpool City Region.

The WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence, run in partnership with specialist awarding organisation NCFE, is a workforce development programme that empowers educators and leaders to use international best practice to drive excellence in technical education and apprenticeships.

As part of the network, Hugh Baird College will participate in a world-class teacher training programme, equipping teaching staff with the tools and techniques to help students and apprentices develop the high-level skills needed to succeed in a competitive and rapidly changing labour market.

The College will also benefit from opportunities to collaborate with industry leaders and education professionals across the UK and internationally, taking part in specialist masterclasses in priority sectors and driving innovation in teaching and learning.
