Course Details

This course is designed for those wishing to pursue a career in the accountancy profession. The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is gained through three stages: Level 2 Certificate in Accounting, Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and Level 4 Diploma in Accounting. On completion of the final stage and, provided they have relevant work experience, full membership of the AAT is attained. It is a highly regarded professional qualification and increasingly popular with employers.

As an AAT qualified accounting technician you will have an internationally recognised and respected qualification that shows potential employers you have been trained to a high standard.

The first year is Level 2 Certificate in Accounting, the second year students will progress onto the Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and the final year is the Level 4 Diploma in Accounting. The course is part-time for each of the three levels.The Level 2 Certificate begins at a basic level and, if successfully completed, may allow the student to progress onto the next stage. The Certificate level runs two evenings per week or one full day per week for one year.

Continual assessment takes place in class throughout the year in all subject areas and there are external examinations in all subject areas.
