Course Details
This course is designed to prepare learners for further education, training, or employment by developing a broad and practical skill set that supports both personal growth and professional readiness.
The Open Awards Level 1 Diploma in Skills for Further Learning and Employment offers a diverse curriculum that includes units focused on interpersonal communication, personal confidence, mental health awareness, teamwork, and customer service.
Learners will also gain practical life skills such as cooking, managing anger, understanding body image, and using presentation software. The course promotes inclusivity and awareness through topics like LGBTQ+ understanding and drug awareness, while also encouraging learners to plan for their future careers.
By the end of the programme, learners will be equipped with the confidence, knowledge, and transferable skills needed to progress into further learning opportunities or enter the workplace with a strong foundation.
