Course Details
The Vocational Pathways programme allows you to specialise in a vocational area while also developing a core set of transferable skills. These focus on employability and preparation for further study, ensuring you have the knowledge and confidence to succeed in your next steps.
Vocational areas to choose from include:
- Digital
- Health and Social Care
- Caring for Children
- Hair and Beauty
- Art and Design
- Sport
You will be able to choose from the following subjects which each include their own set of modules:
- Digital
- Health and Social Care
- Caring for Children
- Hair and Beauty
- Art and Design
- Sport
You will choose 1 vocation to study alongside a core of units to equip you with transferable skills based around employability and skills for further study.
NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Occupational Studies for the Workplace:
- Unit 69 – Improving Own Learning and Performance
- Unit 67 – Working in a Team
- Unit 75 – Undertaking an Enterprise Project
- Unit 47 – Developing Customer Service Skills
- Unit 68 – Time Management Skills
- Unit 66 – Problem Solving at Work
- Extension Unit: Unit 49 – Word Processing Software
You will also have the ability to study towards your GCSEs in maths and English if you do not already have them.
