Open up a world of opportunities with a Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification at Hugh Baird College. Showcase your skills, be involved in community events, and get connected to huge brands and employers in the industry. Delve into the science behind beauty treatments while taking your skills to the next level in our on-site commercial salons.
What will you learn?
The Level 3 Beauty Therapy course covers a wide variety of treatments, including Swedish body massages, face and body electrical treatments, and non-surgical face and body lifts.
We’re big on community at Hugh Baird College, so you’ll get involved with the NHS and well-being events, providing massages, nail treatments and other services to the people that support our city.
Train to be an outstanding therapist
In addition to providing world-class treatments, the best beauty therapists showcase high levels of professionalism, personal presentation, client care and communication.
Throughout this course, you’ll grow into a well-rounded, employable therapist. Part of that involves partaking in regular sessions in Hugh Baird College’s busy commercial salons. These salons are open to the public and mirror real-life settings. You’ll be responsible for everything from booking clients to preparing beds, managing your time and providing the best possible experience.
Diversify your skillset and work with luxury brands
Each year, students take part in different enrichment activities and listen to talks from industry experts. For example, the Million Dollar Facial team is visiting the College this year to develop students’ skills in micro-needling.
You’ll mostly be working with Dermalogica products, an exciting brand preferred by some of the best salons worldwide. Exceptional students might get the opportunity to carry out work experience in luxury spas such as Ragdale Hall Spa in Leicestershire. These positions include accommodation and are priceless to your CV.
Is this course right for you?
This course is open to students with a passion for the beauty and spa industry. You should have a Level 2 Beauty qualification or equivalent before enrolling.
