Course Details

This Level 3 course provides centre-based knowledge and practical assessments that equip learners with the core skills and understanding needed for progression within the plumbing and heating industry.

This qualification develops the underpinning knowledge and practical skills required to pursue a career in the building services sector as a Plumber, Plumber and Domestic Heating Engineer, or Plumbing and Domestic Heating Installer. It also gives learners valuable experience of real workplace scenarios they are likely to encounter in the plumbing and domestic heating profession.

The qualification is specifically designed for individuals aiming to build a career as plumbers or domestic heating engineers within the Building Services Engineering industry.

  • K/502/8930 Understand and apply domestic cold water system installation, commissioning, service and maintenance techniques
  • R/602/2498 Understand how to organise resources within BSE
  •  K/502/9155 Understand and apply domestic hot water system installation, commissioning, service and maintenance techniques
  • M/502/9156 Understand and apply domestic central heating system installation, commissioning, service and maintenance techniques
  • T/502/9157 Understand and carry out electrical work on domestic plumbing and heating systems and components
  • D/502/9296 Understand and apply domestic sanitation system installation, commissioning, service and maintenance techniques
