I decided to study at Hugh Baird College because of the outstanding facilities and reputation the college has for its construction courses. The BTEC Level 2 Apprenticeship in Plumbing and Heating course helped me to further develop my understanding of plumbing and heating, as well as teach me new skills and techniques.

I decided to opt for the apprenticeship route to help support my family business, with the plan to further develop my skills by progressing onto the BTEC Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Heating, as well as enrolling on a BTEC Electrical Installation course to give me a diverse set of skills and knowledge that I plan to apply to my future career.

Hugh Baird College has changed me as a person, it has made me independent and proud of the work I produce day in, day out. The best part of being at Hugh Baird College was the hands on approach to the way you learn. The support I was given at Hugh Baird College was outstanding, especially from my tutor, both on a personal and academic level.
