Course Details
The qualification will provide you with a range of plaster skimming skills and knowledge. You will also develop an understanding of the health and safety requirements and self-employment.
As part of the course, you will gain a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card to demonstrate your skills and knowledge to employers and access construction sites.
Upon completing the course, you will be guaranteed an interview with an employer for a full-time position or apprenticeship.
This 12-week course includes 2 days of training per week plus work experience with an employer. This course is delivered with our partner, Sterling Plastering, at their campus in Knowsley.
- Safe working practices in a painting and decorating environment
- Prepare and maintain a work area
- Use and maintain tools and equipment
- Prepare surfaces and apply materials
- Plan, prepare, assist, and work safely in a wallpapering task
- Apply decorative finishes
