Course Details

This qualification is designed to develop your knowledge and understanding of airline operations and aviation operations on the ground, alongside building transferable employability skills.

You will understand the importance of health, safety and security procedures in the aviation industry and be introduced to the different terminology used. The qualification focuses on developing your skills and knowledge to support you in working in the aviation industry, and provides the understanding you need to progress to the next level of vocational learning.

This qualification will:

  • Focus on your study of the aviation industry
  • Offer you breadth and depth of study, incorporating a key core of knowledge
  • Introduce you to the different terminology used in the aviation industry
  • Help you understand how to deal with customer complaints and incidents
  • Give you opportunities to acquire a number of practical and technical skills
  • Equip you with the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to succeed in your next steps, with a focus on occupational units such as enterprise, customer service and problem solving

You will also have the opportunity to study towards your GCSEs in maths and English if you do not already hold them.
