Once you have applied for a place on a course at Hugh Baird College, we will invite you to one of our Interview Evenings. These happen throughout the academic year and do exactly what they say on the tin! You will be invited into college on a weekday evening and you will find out more about your course and have an interview with your lecturers.
You’ll receive a letter from us and we’ll give you a date and a time to come in to Hugh Baird College. We recommend you arrive 10 minutes early as the evenings can sometimes be busy.
You’ll be welcomed to Hugh Baird College and members of staff will be on hand to show you around. You’ll find out more about the college and about the course you will be studying and you will also sit down for an interview with one of your course lecturers.
You will be able to find out more about Student Finance and our Student Services. Our careers team will also be on hand if you want to discuss your choice of course.
Interview Evenings are very friendly and they are a chance for you to get to know your lecturers, make sure the course is right for you and ask any questions you may have, as well as a chance for us to meet you.
If you cannot come to an Interview Evening then you MUST let us know, as we only invite our applicants once. When you contact us, we won’t be angry, we will just work with you to find a more suitable time and date.
If you do not let us know that you can’t make your Interview Evening, then we will invite you to the College in the summer. However, there is no guarantee that places will still be available on the course you’re interested in as courses fill up quickly.
REMEMBER - The sooner you can attend an Interview Evening the better.
You can contact us via email on email@example.com.
Please bring any actual or predicted GCSE Results with you (where applicable). You can bring along family members or friends too if you like!
You can expect to be with us for approximately 1 hour.
We do have limited parking available for visitors during Interview Evening. This is located on Pembroke Road and is well signposted.
Strict parking regulations are in place in the surrounding streets to the College so make sure you park in a road that does not require a resident’s permit. Reasonably priced parking is available in the large public car park located to the rear of the Merton public house. It is accessible from Trinity Road.
