Hugh Baird University Centre Graduation Ceremony 2020

Postponement of November 2020 Graduation Ceremony

I hope that you and your loved ones are well. I wanted to get in touch with regard to an update about your graduation ceremony.

I know that many of you like to attend the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) and/or the College graduation ceremony, and so it is with regret that the College has taken the difficult decision to postpone the College 2019/20 graduation ceremony scheduled to be held at the Bootle Town Hall on Friday 20th November due to the ongoing coronavirus situation. However, we are working on a plan to offer a graduation event in 2020/21 for both the 2019/20 and 2020/21 cohorts, which we hope will be in person. We will share more details about the event in the new year.

With regards to the UCLan graduation ceremonies, please keep an eye on the UCLan website for the most up to date information.

In the meantime, I wish you all the best and, above all else, please keep safe and well.

Colette Mawdsley, Dean of Higher Education and Access.

"Appreciate every minute of your Graduation Day, you deserve this moment. The day will pass very quickly, but it will be a day you remember for the rest of your life. But remember Graduation is not the end, it is just the beginning…"

– Catherine Coburn, 2018 Graduate
