Hospitality & Visitor Economy Career College

In September 2014, we opened the UK’s first Hospitality and Visitor Economy Career College for 14-19 year olds, in partnership with the Career College Trust.

Our pioneering new facility will ensure you are both academically and practically prepared for the world of work within the Hospitality and Visitor Economy industries, both areas of huge employment growth in the Liverpool City Region. We know that for some of you, learning in a school environment can be less inspiring than learning in a practical way and being taught industry relevant skills. That’s why we have created our Career College, to give you amazing career prospects and a bright future.

Aged 14?

Instead of staying at school for years 10 and 11, you will have the chance to learn the practical skills you need for employment in the Hospitality and Visitor Economy industries, whilst continuing to study for GCSEs in Maths, English, Science and Computing at College.

Aged 16+?

If you are aged 16+, you will be able to study our Hospitality and Travel & The Visitor Economy qualifications, alongside gaining the practical skills you need for employment in the Hospitality and Visitor Economy industry.

What is a Career College?

A Career College is a new concept in education, preparing young people aged 14-19 for the world of work. A Career College combines both vocational and academic learning, combined with employer led education and entrepreneurial skills. Progression opportunities will include employment, apprenticeships and higher education.
