Course Details

This qualification is designed to provide learners with the skills and knowledge to be able to appropriately coach and mentor other learners. This qualification covers the core skills, knowledge and understanding required to support other learners in a coaching and mentoring capacity. Learners must be occupationally competent in the vocational area in which they are providing coaching and mentoring.

The objective of the qualification is to support those seeking to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to coach and mentor people as part of their normal role. It’s also the ideal starting point for a career in coaching and mentoring.

This course is fully funded (free) for those aged 19 or over, who are living in the Liverpool City Region (Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral) and haven't already completed a Level 3 qualification. This includes anyone who is currently unemployed or working but looking to change careers or enhance an existing career with a Level 3 qualification.

Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring Level 3
20 weeks, part-time
  • Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training
  • Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
  • Internal Quality Assurance qualifications, such as Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes  
Quality Assurance roles or Coaching and Mentoring roles within various organisations.
