My next steps are to gain a Certificate in Education (Cert Ed) and PCGE at the Hugh Baird University Centre, to enable me to one day become a tutor.
Lisa said: After a lot of research, I discovered that most of the creatives that I look up to in the Hair and Beauty industry, were taught at Hugh Baird College. This made my decision to study here easy and I knew I wanted to learn from the best.
Studying the Advanced Technical Diploma in Barbering Level 3 gave me the confidence, knowledge and the skills needed to be a successful Hair Stylist at the salon I currently work in, Bubble. From dealing with difficult situations, to learning high standards of colouring methods and techniques. The course, gave me an insight into the Hair and Beauty industry and the knowledge to keep up-to-date with current trends.
The support at Hugh Baird College is amazing, the Finance Team granted me funding that allowed my children to go to nursery, giving me the time to attend College and a make a future for my family.
