Motor Vehicle Engineering

The Motor Vehicle Engineering department has been expanding its provision to meet changing technologies in the automotive industry.

We have invested in up-to-date diagnostic equipment and have a comprehensive fleet of cars and motorcycles for students to learn on and hone their knowledge and skills.

The skills and knowledge gained on our vehicle technology courses will give you the ability to work in the Motor Vehicle repair industry in a range of different positions. However, many of the skills you’ll learn don’t limit you to a future career in this sector. In fact, completing a vehicle technology course could open up a whole world of work opportunities to you.

Past students have gone on to work in the advanced manufacturing sector, some have joined the armed forces in technical trades and have travelled the world as a result, while others have moved in to the aeronautical and marine engineering sectors. Many current students are looking to the exciting SuperPort and maritime sector developments in the Liverpool City Region for their future career opportunities.
