Phil Walton

My background is in customer service and union representation. I started working as a Customer Service Advisor with QVC at the age of 16, following this I worked for Shop Direct, BT and my current role is as a Fraud Investigator with Santander.

I worked at Shop Direct for 7 years and for 3 of those years I was the union representative for the union USDAW (Union of Shop Distribution and Allied Workers). As the union representative I gained valuable experience at director level meetings, engaging in pay negotiations as well a full review of the sickness policy. I worked closely with both directors and management on both issues and this gave me confidence and the ability to work at director level.

I have an NVQ level 2 in Customer Service and I am currently in my second year of a Business Management degree which I hope to complete in 2019.
