Judith Simmons

After studying at the Universities of Sheffield and Liverpool I realised my long held ambition to teach chemistry and physics by joining the science department at Litherland High School. I held several roles at the school gaining experience in all aspects of secondary education, spending over twenty years as Deputy Headteacher until my retirement.

When South Sefton College opened I became a Governor, serving on several committees, widening my experience in school and college governance. I am passionate about education and its role in the development of young people and the wider community of Sefton and Merseyside.

I am proud to have been a member of Macmillan Cancer Support, Crosby Committee for many years. We are one of the most successful fundraising committees in the North West, thanks to the continued, generous support we receive.
