Maths – GCSE

The one year GCSE Maths course is specifically designed for people over 18 who need to improve their grade for personal, professional or educational reasons. A good grasp of essential mathematical concepts and techniques provides an important background to the study of many other subjects, and a GCSE grade C (new grading system: 4) is a requirement for many careers and Further/Higher Education courses.

Assessment will be in the form of 2 exams held in June, a calculator and a non-calculator.

What are the entry requirements?

You will need to have achieved a grade D (new grading system: 3) previously to retake your GCSE in one year (or be competent at Level 2). If you haven’t got a D (new grading system: 3), don’t worry. Take a look at our Improve your Maths course.
