Thornton College teaching staff held a celebratory afternoon on 26th November to recognise the achievements of their 2nd and 3rd year students. The afternoon was attended by Hugh Baird College’s Principal, Yana Williams and Governors, Jim Brown and Brian Cooney. Visitors were treated to a short drama production devised by the 3rd year students, as well as two songs from Thornton’s own Signing Choir.
The students all received certificates from Yana for their achievements in ASDAN’s Diploma in Life Skills – the first groups at the College to achieve the qualifications.
