Barbering - Advanced Technical Diploma - Level 3

This course will provide you with a range of specialist practical skills and technical knowledge which will equip you to seek employment or further training within the barbering industry.

We recommend you achieve a Barbering - Level 2 qualification or have equivalent industry experience before enrolling on this course.

  • Cut hair using a combination of barbering techniques
  • Design and create facial hair shapes
  • Shaving services
  • Barbering consultation services


  • Design and create patterns in hair
  • Colour and lighten men's hair
  • Creative hair design skills
  • Specialist hair and scalp treatments

What are the entry requirements?

In order to qualify for this course, you will need at least one of the following:

  • 4 GCSEs at grade D (new grading system: 3) or above to include English Language. It would be beneficial for you to also have subjects such as Maths and Science at Grade D (new grading system: 3)


  • A relevant Level 2 qualification


  • Industry related experience
