Business Administration - Level 1

This programme has been designed to prepare you to progress to study at Level 2 or to employment. You will gain an insight to business administration and you will undertake work experience, other enrichment activities and maths and English. The length of the course is dependent on you and how quickly you progress and develop.

The course will give you an introduction to working in a realistic office environment to gain fundamental office skills. You will learn about the need for office procedures and have the chance to carry out different job roles.

During the course you will learn how to work and communicate in a business environment, and you will have the chance to visit different types of companies to get a practical understanding of Business Administration and Customer Service.

Assessment is ongoing and you will produce a portfolio of work which will showcase your skills, including Word, text processing and computer skills. Additional qualifications will be gained also.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal qualifications for our Level 1 courses.

The College will always treat each applicant as an individual. Should you not have or not expect to obtain the grades stated above, or not have relevant industry related experience, the College would still welcome your application for this course as this will enable us to identify whether this course is, in fact, the right course for you or whether another course may be more appropriate.

All course offers will be subject to satisfactory interview and reference.

Study Programme

If you are aged 16-19, this qualification will form a substantial part of your study programme. The study programme has been designed to ensure that young people are fully equipped and ready to move on to the world of work or higher level courses. In addition to your main qualification, will you also get the opportunity to undertake relevant and CV bolstering work experience out in your chosen industry. You will also be supported through maths and English qualifications.
